Tuesday Flower Farming Team
Overview:
Join our vibrant team at Hydons Flower Farm, where you'll be part of a community-driven initiative to maintain and nurture our beautiful flower farm. As a volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of flower farming while contributing to the upkeep of our farm which supports our community project with Green Hub teen anxiety project, our sister charity, donates and sells the crops to support this project.
Responsibilities:
Participate in farm maintenance activities such as sowing seeds, potting on, weeding, watering, planting out, and harvesting flowers.
Keep the farm's pathways and yard tidy, including tasks like deadheading, making bunches, compost turning, and washing buckets.
Requirements:
Available for drop-in sessions between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Tuesdays, with a minimum commitment of 3 hours per session.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Respect for the farm's code of conduct and commitment to treating all individuals with utmost respect.
Skills and Qualifications:
No prior experience necessary; we'll provide all the training and support you need.
Enthusiasm for gardening and an interest in learning about flower farming.
Gardening gloves and secateurs are beneficial but not required; we'll provide all necessary tools.
